Meet Junior Moaku

Junior Moaku is the founder of Save Me Save We and Thrive In Peace! He is an avid mental health advocate whose work is focused on contextualizing the power and advantages of psychological health. Through evidence-based workshops and various training methods, Junior’s mission is to improve the wellness literacy of all Canadians. Junior grew a passion for mental health after noticing the lack of resources, accessibility, and assertiveness around the subject in universities. He launched his personal awareness movement by wearing a t-shirt with the words Save Me. After an overwhelming positive response, he founded Save Me Save We to increase awareness around mental health.

Meet Gabby Scollard,a young author, motivational speaker, and mental health advocate hailing from Bedford, Nova Scotia. Gabby's journey through mental illness and recovery inspired her to pen 'Why I Stay - 365 reasons to stay alive when your mind is giving you every reason not to'. Gabby speaks about the harsh reality of mental illness issues in youth. From both her own personal experience and others, she provides insights that are 'relatable and raw'.

Carly Hominuk is a health and wellness advocate with a deep passion for personal development and peer support.

She is a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists, currently completing her candidacy under supervision.

Carly specializes in trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges, blending evidence-based approaches with a compassionate, client-centered focus.

Joy Chiekwe

Clinical Exercise Physiologist | Keynote

Joy is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist working in primary care, helping bridge the gap between clinical treatment and community wellness.

With a BKin from Acadia and a Master’s in Exercise Science from Dalhousie, she develops inclusive, evidence-based programs to support Nova Scotians in managing chronic conditions and preventing disease.

Joy empowers individuals to take charge of their health through movement, education, and sustainable lifestyle change.

Jessica O'Kane

Jessica O’Kane believes deeply in personal growth, mindfulness, and helping others transform challenges into stepping stones for success.

Drawing from experience in counseling, consulting, and coaching, she empowers individuals and teams to unlock creativity, purpose, and resilience.

Jessica specializes in Positive Intelligence and NLP techniques, offering 1-1 coaching, wellness workshops, and organizational online training. 

Director of Community Engagement & Youth Outreach

Sehkahnee Reynolds is a mentor, coach, and community advocate with a passion for empowering youth. A proud Acadia University alumnus, he wears many hats — father, leader, and champion for the next generation. Guided by the belief in every young person’s potential, Sehkahnee provides encouragement, guidance, and real opportunities to help them thrive. Whether coaching on the field or advocating in the community, he leads with compassion, integrity, and purpose. Outside of mentorship, he stays deeply involved in community work, focused on creating clear pathways to success. His mission: to uplift, support, and stand up for the future.

Responsibilities: ● Build and manage strategic partnerships with schools, businesses, and youth organizations ● Serve as a lead ambassador in community activations and events ● Lead recruitment for youth-focused pilot programs or campaigns ● Help co-develop programming grounded in real youth needs Contact Sehkahnee to bring Thrive in Peace to your school or organization.
